Design Discovery
The Design Discovery Program provides an intensive introductory experience for those who are curious about the environmental design fields of architecture, interior architecture, landscape architecture, and regional and community planning. The program is offered on the University of Missouri-Kansas City campus for two weeks each June. Participants must have completed at least the ninth grade.
The program explores students’ interests and abilities through a series of design exercises. Participants gain a general understanding of the challenges and rewards of a career in the various environmental design fields through direct interaction with professionals. Those who find the challenge of environmental design satisfying are given assistance in planning their future course of study.
