Each year, the K-State Alumni Association presents Multicultural Leadership
Awards to four outstanding multicultural seniors for their achievements during
their college careers at K-State.
The 2009 recipients were recognized at the Multicultural Graduation Celebration
in May. The individual award recipients were nominated by faculty members.
The 2009 recipients are Jose Uriel Estrada, Careem E.G. Gladney, LeCretia
Morrison (fifth-year architecture from Kansas City, MO) and Pui Kwan Melinda
Au.
“We are proud to honor these students for their years of service and
leadership through multicultural organizations and activities,” said
Alumni Association president Amy Button Renz. “The results of their
efforts in encouraging diversity will leave lasting marks on the
university.”
