Mary Rakowsky is recognized for 26 years of dedicated service to Kansas State University in a variety of roles.  Mary retired in June of 2006.

Mary is a native of Central City, Nebraska, coming to K-State in 1979 as secretary to the Faculty Senate, Women’s Studies, South Asia Studies in Arts and Sciences.  In 1994 she was named as the administrative assistant to the Dean of the College of Architecture, Planning and Design.  She is particularly valued for her thorough knowledge of the faculty handbook.  She is a very hard worker who is loyal to her faculty and staff colleagues.  Her dedication to the college as well as her desire to serve is highly appreciated.  Faculty and staff shall certainly miss her home-made cookies at all-college faculty meetings.
