Landscape Architecture Student Receives Golf Course Scholarship
Daryn Soldan, Manhattan, a second-year student in K-State’s master of landscape architecture degree program, was chosen to receive a $1000 Golf Course Builders Association of America scholarship for 2006-2007.
The GCBAA Scholarship Program is a mentor program that offers summer jobs and internships to college students who want a career in construction-related segments of the golf industry. Each year, it establishes scholarships at selected universities. The program is funded by the GCBAA Foundation.
Candidates must
have third-, fourth- or fifth -year (senior) class standing with a cumulative
grade point average of 3.0 or higher. All scholarships are for one year;
however, a student may reapply for a second-year award. The scholarship selection process was
administered by the College
of Architecture, Planning
and Design’s development staff with candidate guidance/input from the K-State
landscape architecture faculty.
