Kansas State University students seeking careers in the design disciplines will get a second chance this semester to meet with prospective employers at DesignExpo2, the career fair of the College of Architecture, Planning and Design.

DesignExpo2 is being held from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Monday, April 3, in the Ballroom of the K-State Student Union.

Event sponsors are the K-State College of Architecture, Planning, and Design and K-State’s Career and Employment Services.

This is the first time the college is having two such events in a single semester. Employer interest in the college’s students has been so great this year that a second activity was required. The first was held in February with 73 firms attending; 40 firms have registered for the second event. This means the total number of firms at DesignExpo during the spring of 2006 is an astounding 113 (compared to previous record total of 59).

Employers attending DesignExpo2 are offering full-time employment as well as summer and other internship opportunities in the private sector. They will also be available to visit with students who wish to learn more about the disciplines of architecture, interior architecture and product design, landscape architecture, and regional and community planning, as well as related design fields.
