Plot Services

Plotting Policy for Students

The plot service will only support Windows XP professional.

To plot you are required to have a positive balance in your account.  Plots sent when there are insufficient funds available in your account will not plot and will be deleted from queue.

There will be no special pick-up times.  The schedule will be the only times to pick-up plots.  (See Schedule link for the Fall 2007 pick-up schedule).

All scanning will be on the scanners schedule.  Scanning may take up to 3 days to complete.  (See Schedule link for instructions to schedule a scan).

Items which cannot be scanned: trace paper, pencil drawings, pastel drawings, crayon or wax based drawings, spray fixed drawings or any adhesive on drawings. These items scratch or gum up the scanner and ruin scanning for all.

There will be NO CREDIT given for user error.  Only the Plotter Administrator can authorize credit - Professors do not have the authority to authorize plotter credit.

The only plotter errors are insufficient paper or ink.  Incorrect text, page layout or image resolution is user error.

No students will plot/scan for professors, charette, ASLA, or Accreditation without written approval, submitted to the plot service accountant prior to plotting.  The student will assume responsibility for the plot bill if no approval is submitted.

Plots will be set on the table outside Seaton 303a (plot room) for pick-up, see schedule link for pick-up times.

Plot account payments will be credited to accounts Monday - Thursday at 8:00pm.

Any plots sent to the HP800 or HP5000 using specialty photo matte or photo gloss paper require someone to be in the plot room to “catch” the plot prior to the plot being sent up.  Failure to do so will result in scratches and damage to the plot. The plotting service will not be responsible for such damage.

Plotting Policy for Faculty

Special department plotting/scanning by written departmental approval only, prior to plotting.

Professors must give written approval to any student they want to plot/scan from their accounts.  Only after the plot service representative receives written approval, will the student be granted access to plot from a professor’s account.

Grants and Out of Department billing are charged to the student/professor’s personal account; their third party reimburses the student/professor.

Specialty paper requirements for project will require (7) days advance notice.
