Located on Kansas State University’s main campus and housed within the College of Architecture, Planning & Design, the Department of Interior Architecture and Product Design (IAPD) constitutes one of the four available degree programs. Working alongside Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Regional & Community Planning students provides a diverse learning environment, reminiscent of the professional structure of many of today’s design firms.

The department’s facilities are concentrated within Seaton Hall and Seaton Court, centrally located on campus. Students come to know these buildings quite well during the course of their studies, as many design studio activities extend well beyond the confines of regular class meetings.  As a function of the amount of time students spend around one another, a certain kinship often develops among them. History has shown that these friendships extend well beyond their years at K-State.

IAPD students are active within their community as well. Many are part-time instructors at the campus recreation center, members of student organizations and Greek system, volunteer for philanthropic events, and participate in many other events off-campus.

IAPD faculty are uncommonly dedicated to the learning and advancement of their students.
