All IAPD students are accepted only after successful completion of the college-wide first-year Environmental Design Studies program. Therefore, any interested students must first apply and be accepted into the first-year curriculum through a qualified admissions process under the direction of the Associate Dean. The number of students who can be admitted into the College of Architecture, Planning and Design is limited, and admission is competitive. A complete application must be postmarked by February 1 in order to be eligible to begin a course of study during the Fall semester.
Currently, the only transfer students allowed direct entrance into the IAPD degree program are those students attending our partner program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). There is also limited transferability of previously earned course credits from other institutions.
For more detailed information regarding the application and admissions process to both K-State and the College of Architecture, Planning and Design please visit the CAPD prospective students section.
