As a practicing professional, it is important that you accurately represent your degree training. For the sake of clarity, and in order to reduce any potential confusion, we offer an “official” summary of the course of study undertaken, and title of degree earned during your time as a student.
As conferred upon graduates completing the Degree Program from 1972 until May of 2007. Accredited by FIDER (Foundation for Interior Design Education Research) in 1973, and also later by NASAD (National Association of Schools of Art and Design) in 1999. Total credit hours required for completion: 138.
Beginning in the fall of 2007, this will be considered a “Legacy Degree” in that it will no longer be offered as a degree option due to the adoption of the Master’s Degree sequence. Those persons who may have previously begun, but not completed, this course of study may still return and work toward its completion pending re-admission to K-State and the College. This opportunity, however, will expire as of December 31, 2011.

As conferred upon graduates completing the Degree Program, beginning in May of 2008. This is a non-baccalaureate, five-year, First Professional Masters Degree dually accredited by CIDA (Council for Interior Design Accreditation) and NASAD (National Association of Schools of Art and Design). Total credit hours required for completion: 169.
