Dallas, Texas
An annual tradition for over 10 years, the departmental field study trip to Dallas, Texas, provides third-year students with an overview of various professional opportunities available as a graduate of the Degree Program. During this week, students tour several design firms and experience firsthand the structure and organization of different professional offices. Students also visit notable architecture/design projects in various stages of completion. Significant architectural, historical, and cultural sites are also included in the trip’s agenda.
Chicago, Illinois
Currently, second-year students have the opportunity to tour the Windy City and gain exposure to various historic and modern instances of art, architecture, and culture of one of the most notable cities in the Midwest.
Project site visits
At all levels of study, students and faculty will travel to more local venues for case studies, ethnography, and project site visits for design studio. Destinations have included Kansas City, Topeka, and Wichita.
