As a CAPD student you are required to register your computer if it is operating on campus and connected to the network. Unregistered computers will result in loss of network access. Before filling out this form please ensure that your computer is properly configured for the network.

Jack ID Instructions
The Jack ID is the number posted on the port where you connected your network cable. Enter that number here.


Hardware Address Instructions

  • Windows XP:
    • Open the Network Diagnostic application. You can find this application in Control Panel > Network and Internet Connections and then click the link Network Diagnostics in the left column
    • Click the link Scan your system
    • Click the + icon for Network Adapters
    • Click the + icon on the listed network adapters until you locate the one listed with an IP Address in the range of 129.130.82.X to 129.130.85.X
    • The Hardware Address is listed in this format, MACAddress = XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX Enter that number here without colons, example XXXXXXXXXXXX
  • Windows Vista:
      Open Network and Sharing Center application. You can find this application in Control Panel Home > Network and Internet section and then click View network status and tasks
    • Click the link View status next to Connection > Local Area Connection
    • Click on the Details button
    • The IPv4 Address should be in the range of 129.130.82.X to 129.130.85.X
    • The Hardware Address is listed in this format, Physical Address XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX Enter that number here without dashes, example XXXXXXXXXXXX
  • Mac OS X:
    • Open the Network Utility application. You can find this application in the Applications > Utility folder.
    • Click on the Info button
    • Choose the Network Interface that has an IP Address in the range of 129.130.82.X to 129.130.85.X. This is usually Network Interface (en0).
    • The Hardware Address is listed in this format, XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX. Enter that number here without colons, example XXXXXXXXXXXX
