JULIANNE NIEMANN studied landscape architecture at Kansas State and then returned to Wichita, where she had grown up, to join the firm led by K-State alumnus H. Stewart Mann, Site Planning Associates. Her responsibilities on residential and commercial projects spanned the gamut from design, to specifications and details, to production management. After four years, she headed southwest to Albuquerque and employment which carried opportunities for active collaboration with other professionals, developers, and clients as well as new responsibilities for marketing and client contact. Graduate study in archaeology at the University of New Mexico led to award of a Master's degree in 1989. Since the start of 1990, Juli has been employed by the USDA Forest Service as a landscape architect in the Santa Fe National Forest where she is in charge of recreational design and serves as an interdisciplinary team leader on archaeological projects. |
