Architecture 1991 Alumni Honoree [ First | Previous | Next | Last ] |
DIXIE ROBERTS JUNK came to Kansas State University from Hutchinson, Kansas, where she attended secondary school and completed study for the Associate of Arts at Hutchinson Community College. Elected to Phi Kappa Phi senior honorary and to the honorary societies in architecture and business, she was chosen to represent the Department of Architecture on Design Weekend and American Institute of Architects national convention charrette teams. Two years of service as treasurer of OZ, the Journal of the College, led to her selection as co-editor during her final year of study for the Bachelor of Architecture. Professional experience in New York, ranging in scale from residential additions to health care facilities and university master planning, prepared her well to become a partner during 1989 with her husband, Robert, in Junk Architects. The firm is engaged in residential, health care, recreation, office, restaurant and studio projects across the New York metropolitan region. |
