![]() Neal Hubbell Upon recommendation of our students and faculty, the College of Architecture, Planning, and Design is privileged to acknowledge the outstanding teaching record of Professor Neal Hubbell. Professor Hubbell is one of only a small percentage of practitioners in the country who have met the requirements for both interior design registration and for architectural licensing. Neal has a four-year degree in Environmental Design and a first professional Master of Architecture degree. He practiced in architecture and interiors for ten years before starting this teaching career. Neal is a valued faculty member who possesses intelligence, foresight, and a great sense of creativity with the ability to impart this knowledge to his students. He has an excellent background in the history of furniture and worked with Professor Emeritus Jack Durgan in developing our theory and history of furniture sequence. Neal is the coordinator of the interior architecture design studio sequence and helps develop the teaching content for these studios. The respect for Neal's talents and abilities goes far beyond the confines of Kansas State University. He was chosen to evaluate and judge the entries for the 2001 IDEC National Design Competition. Professor Hubbell expends an enormous amount of time and energy in achieving the success he and his students have attained. We are thrilled to honor Neal Hubbell by selecting him as the recipient of the 2003 Wayne Hunt McElwee Teaching Award. |
